 after the dissolution of generation x, two of the members linked up with simon bernal from mlr to form empire. a fantastic mix of post punk, power pop & new wave, unfortunately the label folded right after their only lp came out. fortunately for us, copies of the album made its way over the atlantic to dc & was a large inspiration for the revolution summer sound.

another summer record fershure. shigeru suzuki played in happy end & tin pan alley with harry hosono, which should be enough. power pop collides head on with yacht rock for total feel good sunny vibes.

if yr into the dolls (which if you aren't then what the fuck?), sparks or the quick record i posted, then this is for you. catchy glammy power pop perfect for summer activities. don't let the stupid name fool you, this record is pretty legit. not quite as good as the quick, but still essential. dedicated to zach. call me duder, let's get psychidelique.
