another one of those records i avoided like the plague because of that dreaded i word. harsh as fuck power electronics, kinda. if you like abrasive jams that transport you to transcendental head spaces that only ichazo & lilly have visited, this record is for you.

i can not gush enough about how amazing daphne oram is. a co-founder of the bbc radiophonic workshop in 58', she was a pioneer in electronic/ambient/noise who gets overlooked by some other bigger names. if you have never heard of her before, i highly suggest giving this a go as it's pretty mind blowing the sounds she was getting way back in the dark ages of electronics.

replikants were pretty interesting because they were the first unwound side band to not sound like an unwound side band. bizarre skronky jazz meets analog power electronics. don't pass up on this one folks, it's a keeper. the booklet suggests you play this on random, which i also suggest. it makes for an engaging & different listening experience every time. sorry for the poor quality photo, it's the best i can find on the prairie.
