yma sumac has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. her voice is stunningly beautiful in the same way that damia is... haunting nether regions that only john lilly has visited. this is my own rip and is the highest bitrate i have seen around the wastelands.

i found this floating around the wasteland with no tags or information, so it was a pain staking labor of love to reconstruct this tape. fifty songs from one of the carnatic masters, m.s. viswanathan is definitely one of my heroes. enjoy!

one of the best shows i ever saw was the lapse, murder city devils, le shok, & i'm gonna stab you. if le shok had a more dirty surfy twang, then they would be this band. also, orlando sanchez from all sorts of good orange county hardcore bands was in this as well.

another thing you would know about me if we were tight bros from way back when is that assfactor4 is one of my all time favorite hardcore bands ever. this is their new(?) band. i mean i know it's owlviously newer than a4 records, but does anyone know if they are still active & putting out records? this is the only one i could find. anyway, sounds like a4 mixed with tragedy, which is fucking awesome in my book.

if you know me, then you would know that goblin is one of my all time favorite bands, & i also love jan hammer (you'll see what i mean when you listen to this). i'm not even sure where this link is from since i found it through a google search two years ago, but this is one of my favorite things ever. the soundtrack to cut & run by claudio simonetti. i still have yet to see the movie, but it is definitely in the must watch list.

violet age is a new band from vancouver that sounds like they're from bristol circa '92. really really really good post punky shoegaze. check it out if yr into creation records at all.

subpoena the past is probably my favorite sonny kay band other than the vss. the conjure itch 12" is really dubby spaced out post punk awesomeness, while the this year's eclipse ep is more glitchy & dark. if you have any interest in gsl/gravity/three.one.g type bands, then this will be right up yr alleyway.

instil were one of those under appreciated bands from the mid nineties that made me realize that hardcore didn't need to sound like it was on a victory sampler. i put them on every mixtape i made for people, & wrote letters to thomas & he sent me a you & i demo because he was such a dream boat. anyway, this includes the split lp with gray before my eyes (who i could never get into) & their 7".
