the revolution will never be televised.
so ridiculously good. if yr a fan of that ahmad zahir i posted, or have copped either rangarang, zendooni, or khana khana, then you know what yr in store for. my only real complaint are the liner notes. who decided angela sawyer would be a good fit? why not reach out to some of the stars to get their story? or have them write a history of iranian pop's golden age. i would love to hear what they have to say about any of this. anyway, grumbles aside, this is some fucking fyre folks. grab it while you can!
ps i fixed the link for that brasil/mali record i posted a few days ago. sorry about that amigos!

war in a babylon.
what can i say about this guy? the neil diamond of the desert? arguably one of afghanistan's biggest pop stars? a voice that will melt yr icy western heart? ahmad zahir has been playing around these parts for the last two months now & i just had to share this gem with y'all. if you guise enjoy this, then i have some more of his stuff tucked away up my sleeve that i might share. also, will be reupping the yma sumac shortly since people still visit that post the most out of any others. any other requests? just let me know folks.
