more giallo steez from one of my favorite ladies. nora orlandi is amazing, & definitely deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as morricone or piccioni. & the description is terrible, but you know what to expect at this point. loungy strings brush up against gentle woodwinds to make you feel the rush of running down a deserted backalley while a man in white chases you to yr death.

walter rizzati is an underappreciated genius of easy listening giallo jazz soundtracks to b grade italian films. if you like morricone, ferrio, marchetti, or piccioni, then get this now.

two totally different albums from morricone. danger diabolik is some groovin spy thriller/giallo steez, while for a few dollars more is that sparse spaghetti western shit he became famous for. both are great in their own respective ways. what is yr favorite morricone album? i feel like i might have already tried to start this conversation before...

ennio is one of my favorite composers of all time. this is a really great soundtrack to another movie i have yet to see. what is yr favorite ennio record? i know cats out there know this dude, but i think he is a great conversation starter, much like gainsbourg. i feel morricone is name dropped a lot, but i never hear people talk about his music per se. maybe i'm just in with with the out crowd. who knows? anyway, found this one in my travels through seattle. enjoy y'all!

the soundtrack for l'occhio selvaggio by gianni marchetti which giallo fever does a pretty great write up on. pretty stellar jams if you dig ferrio, piccioni, umiliani, morricone, & all the greats. my only regret with most of this giallo steez i listen to is most of the films don't make their way stateside, but at least i get to listen to this. i found this at a local store in the used bin, & i'm pretty psyched to share this with y'all, especially flash. this is right up yr alley friend.

another thing you should know is gialli is my favorite genre of film, & the soundtracks for them are fucking legit. gianni ferrio is my favorite composer, & this is one of my favorite albums from that cat. real smooth sweet jams that make you feel like yr hanging out in Rome running down a dark alley one moment & then cruising around on a boat with the sun shining on yr face the next. this is the fucking jam y'all.
